- Clínica Santisteban, primera clínica en la isla que ofrece tanto tratamientos dentales como faciales
Son ya varios los empresarios vascos que están invirtiendo en Ibiza atraídos por las oportunidades que ofrece la isla. Hoy conocemos a uno de ellos, Borja Santisteban, quien nos habla sobre la apertura de su nueva clínica en Ibiza. Clínica Santisteban es una de las primeras clínicas en realizar tanto tratamientos dentales como faciales en el mismo centro médico. Cuenta con un equipo compuesto por más de 50 personas entre sus clínicas de Bilbao e Ibiza y acaba de abrir sus puertas en Sant Jordi de Ses Salines. —¿Cómo han evolucionado durante estas cuatro décadas para convertirse en una de las primeras clínicas a nivel nacional en concentrar tanto tratamientos dentales como faciales? —Empezamos en 1983 como una clínica dental tradicional, en donde realizábamos tratamientos de odontología general, derivando a consultas de especialistas diversos tratamientos como era habitual en aquel momento. María de los Ángeles Cotto llegó a Ibiza desde su Argentina natal en octubre de 2002. Junto a su pareja, Marcelo Perazzo, pasó cerca de una década regentando con éxito un negocio en Platja d’en Bossa, el bar Passage, mientras residían en Santa Eulària. «Conseguimos que el negocio fuera bien», asegura Ángeles, mientras recuerda anécdotas de aquella etapa, como «cuando había partidos de fútbol, sobre todo del Mundial con la selección argentina, yo siempre hacía empanadas argentinas». En Ibiza, la pareja no tardó en adaptarse, tanto laboral como socialmente. Entre las personas que Ángeles recuerda con más cariño se encontraba la recientemente fallecida Margarita Guasch, una ibicenca que emigró a Argentina con sus padres en su niñez y que regresó a Ibiza muchos años después con sus tres hijos. «Ella era como una segunda abuela para mi hija, nos daba muchos consejos y siempre, por mi cumpleaños, me hacía una tarta de dulce de leche y coco», recuerda Cotto con emoción. Despite the heat, work is continuing at pace to finalise the details of the stalls that will form part of a new edition of the ‘Viu l’artesania’ fair from this Thursday until 23 September, filling the port of Ibiza with craftsmanship.
